The full lunar eclipse was beautiful. I have been paying more attention to EVERY full moon since I read Full Moon Feast: Food and the Hunger for Connection by Jessica Prentice
I love this book. I agree with the description in the forward – she is a woman with wide vision who brings the facets of human thought and experience together into a rich unified whole.
I found the way she described food as it fits into the web of connections of place, season, history and people very informative and inspiring.
The book is divided into sections according to each full moon throughout the year, named for what was traditionally available to our North American and Old European ancestors at that time. She weaves personal stories, wisdom from many traditions, recipes and advice together in a very useful way.
